Worried About the Holidays and Weight Gain

I've always been worried about gaining weight over the holidays. I've worked so hard to get to where I am now that I don't want to revert back. That's always the pressure I feel when the holidays are around. With so many dinner plans between friends and family, it's easy to just let go. So this month and next, I'm trying to avoid Thanksgiving weight gain down to the science.

Is anyone else feeling the same way as I am? There's just too much food to go around, right? Tomorrow for instance, we're having a Friendsgiving at work which sounds awesome but then now I feel like I have to eat a few of everything because I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. Then there's the actual holiday where you really have to stuff yourself with turkey and ham!

Okay, enough about that.

I also have been increasing my gym sessions just because I feel the need to. I've also gained a new gym buddy which is amazing because I'm learning new techniques from him, and I hope he's learning some from me. Nonetheless, we go after work without missing a day. It's funny because some days, I go home soar which is fantastic because I've always thought that I was doing everything to move all my muscles, but I guess I wasn't.

I suppose that's one thing I wanted to let you all know, having a gym buddy actually works. Well, at least for me. It also depends on the commitment you both feel about going there. I know some people who actually just workout at home which is still a win-win for everyone involved. Whatever gets your heart pumpin', right?

Well, I hope all of you have a fantastic holiday!
